Major Storm Drain Outlet Areas to Kaelepulu Pond

Water testing shows that storm drain inlets are a primary source of pollutants. The map below, from the “Storm Water Best Management Practices (BMP) Plan, 2008,” was prepared for the City by Earth Tech AECOM.

These four city drain outlet locations deposit storm water from over 970 acres. It makes sense for the city to focus on installing BMP controls in these four locations as was recommended by the City’s BMP consultant in 2008.
